Hairspiration

Jubilee Washout

After another failed attempt at dating (Monsieur Neptune is dead to me), this weekend is somewhat turning out to be a washout.  In an attempt to keep my spirits up, I have finally made it onto Team Lilac.

My hair's a lil like candyfloss at the moment.  One of my besties will kill me, she spent hours attempting to cut all the dead ends off after a summer of dip-dying.  I like it though.

Close Shave

Finally purchased my very own pair of clippers today, so obviously I felt the need to shave off a lil more of my barnet.

Now at least you can't see my lesbian blonde roots so bad.

Y'know, I'm really getting a thing for this shaving malarkey.

Plus Monsieur Neptune thinks it's hawt, so y'know...

Hair Dramz

Sooo, I had dreams of being a lilac haired mermaid, to the point that I refused to listen to the advice of the hairdresser & went & dyed my barnet myself...With somewhat disastrous consequences.

The lilac dye is on its way, but in the meantime, I've managed bleached my hair into a shambles.

The shaved side of my head is practically NEON!

Shambles!

I shall be wearing this pork pie hat for SOME TIME, until things improve!

Now the big question is, is the lilac gonna improve this shambles...or make it worse, if that's possible!

Bye Bye You, Hello Me

After many weeks of contemplation, I finally got clipper happy last night & shaved off a lil bit of my hair.

As you do.

I don't know if you can actually see it very well in this picture...

I'm actually really liking it, despite the fact that I now look like Skrillex...!!!

Once payday hits I'm gonna hit ze salon & get my hair bleached back to a sunny tone & then pop the lilac rinse in.

Ready for the summer lovin'!

Easter Blues

Urgh, what a wash out this Easter weekend was!  There is honestly only so much chilling I can do!  Hell, there's only so much chocolate eating I can do!  Okay I lied about the last part.

After picnicking on the beach with some of my favourite people, whilst the weather was still reasonably warm & positive in nature, the rest of the weekend took a gradual decline into utter boredom!  Mère thankfully coughed up an egg (Green & Black's naturally) & I took to my bed with an ache in my head & the May issue of Vogue under arm & proceeded to watch the entire first series of New Girl on my Mac.

Although utterly bor to the ing, I have at least had time to contemplate the important things in life, such as my hair colour.  Which I have decided I am so over!  I've definitely concluded that brunettes do not have more fun!  Therefore I have decided it's back to the bleach & then onto the lilac!

Ivania over at LOVE AESTHETICS works this shade really well & after my grey love affair last year, I think this could be the one!

So watch out, another few weeks & I could be werkin' the purple rinse!

Love Affair

What's that, Batiste now comes in ginormous size!?  Damn straight it does!

To show it's new gargantuan size, I have pictured it with the original size, which, by the by, is itself bigger than the original original size...but that's another Wagon Wheel story.

Now my ever growing mane can always be so fresh & so clean clean!

I like it.  Goes well with my hat too.  Ahhh, the hat.  I do love the hat.

Love Affair

So I've had an evil day from hell.  But, in my maturity, I have built a bridge & got over it.

I have also decided to re-dye my hair.  (yes, again!)  I'm going for all over chocolate brown.  No more ombre.

In preparation, I popped to Boots after work to purchase a tinting brush & accidentally got drawn in, by the devil named Topshop.  (bastard!)

I may have left with a faux fur cossack hat...I feel the purchase was a necessary addition to my winter wardrobe...At least that's what I keep telling myself.

I would like to point out that I simply loathe having my photo taken.  I find it abhorrent & I am also exceptionally un-photogenic.  It's a curse.  However, I wanted to show you the hat, as I am simply in LOVE!

I am off now to dye my barnet.  I shall pop a pic up of the hair if it looks nice.  If it doesn't?  You may never see me again.

Hair Care

What's up with my beau's hair care???  Not rating the facial growth, not rating that shit at all.

Boyfriend wants to shave that off before I see him at Benicàssim!

The tide has changed...

We've been blonde, we've tried grey, gone back to blonde, went over to the dark side & now finally we're attempting dip dyed...

The dark always comes out really dark, but it should fade.

Hair Story

Nothing makes me swoon more than good hair.  I have fine hair, but a damn lot of it.  It is of course my lion's mane (yes, I am a Leo, can you not tell!).  However, its natural wave becomes matted very easily (festival nightmare right there!), so my ability to actually control it is rather lacking.  Ah if only...

Blake Lively is also changing shades & looking HAWT doing it too!

Sooo, the grey didn't work out & the blonde got boring...I guess I went back to the dark side...

Popped back to the salon today & have had a touch more grey added in to the 'do.  Blonde be gone!  It's all about the grey rinse laydees!

After six long hours in the hair salon, my barnet is finally GREY!

Now, there are two things to remember here, before the thoughts & any obligatory comments kick in.

1.  I did not ever say it was going to be as dark as the paint on my wall.  I had an Ellie Goulding grey in mind.

2.  They said they can darken it & make it more grey if I want.  However, after six hours, I was ready to go home & snack on high sugar, high calorie produce!

So stop your bitchin', I know what you're like!

 

Tomorrow I will be officially going GREY!
